Due to a massive medical blunder, Kylian Mbappé’s participation in the World Cup was almost thrown into uncertainty. While playing for Real Madrid, Mbappé sustained an injury to his left knee. However, the medical team mistakenly conducted scans and examinations on his right knee.
This led to a major complication. The star player continued to play for several days despite the injury, causing the condition to worsen. Mbappé was initially injured during a La Liga match against Celta Vigo on December 7 of last year. Because the wrong knee was examined, the injury went undetected. Consequently, the French star played three more matches in that condition.
Injured during a match against Celta Vigo . Although he sat on the bench during a Champions League match, he played a full 90 minutes in the final three matches of the year. During a practice session, Mbappé informed the medical team that he was feeling pain in his left knee.
Following this, the injured leg was finally examined, revealing a serious ligament injury. Despite this, the Real Madrid authorities took no action regarding the previous medical error.
Losing faith in the club’s medical staff, Mbappé returned to France, where his recovery process began. He returned to the field last month and is now fully prepared to play in the World Cup. The star will be seen in action during France’s two international friendly matches on March 26 and March 29.
