Officials of the Mumbai Cricket Association have taken a strict stance. From now on, no player will get a place in the team based on their name or past records. To earn a spot in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy team, every player must participate in the T20 Mumbai League.
Following the conclusion of the auction for this competition yesterday, all teams have been formed. Immediately after, the Mumbai Cricket Association issued this directive. A women’s competition will also start from this season. Playing in this T20 competition has been made mandatory for Mumbai’s cricketers.
According to the association’s instructions, unless away for international schedules or due to rehabilitation at the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, every player must play in the T20 Mumbai League.
