{"id":4311,"date":"2026-08-17T13:04:51","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T13:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theimphalreporter.com\/?p=4311"},"modified":"2026-08-17T13:04:52","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T13:04:52","slug":"75-flood-damage-assessment-completed-in-assam-over-1000-surveyors-deployed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theimphalreporter.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/17\/75-flood-damage-assessment-completed-in-assam-over-1000-surveyors-deployed\/","title":{"rendered":"75% Flood Damage Assessment Completed in Assam; Over 1,000 Surveyors Deployed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Assam government has so far disbursed around Rs 150 crore disb as interim relief to the flood- affected people.<br>This was disclosed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.<br>He said that 75 per cent damage assessment&nbsp; has been completed and over 1,000 surveyors on ground to finish the remaining assessment work expeditiously.<br>Sarma said that 793 schools are under repair and will be ready for classes to resume, while roads and public infrastructure being rebuilt on priority.<br>He informed that high capacity pumps are running round the clock to dewater low-lying areas of Sivasagar and health camps are being scaled up, with close monitoring for any disease outbreak.<br>The Chief Minister urged all eligible people to file loan relief and insurance claims by August 30.<br>&#8220;We are mapping compensation and benefits to reach every household.
