Hosted by the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides at its state headquarters, the workshop brought together 70 participants from across India. Beginning on September 1, the programme aimed to educate and empower participants on environmental challenges and encourage simple, sustainable actions in their everyday lives. The workshop also focused on self-defence and building greater awareness and confidence among participants. Addressing the valedictory programme, S Syiem, Senior Environment Engineer of the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board, emphasised the need to shift the climate change narrative from a government-led, top-down approach towards personal responsibility.
