In the third round of the qualifying matches, zeverev defeated the second‑round qualifier Taraka Jannnik sinner in the Miami Open final. In today’s semifinal, sinner postponed the match 6‑3, 7‑6 in the tiebreak. In the first set, there was no challenge to the victory pitch; in the second set, zeverev tried to regain the win but could not. In the second semifinal, Jibi Lehengkai won 6‑3, 6‑2, advancing to the final
Sinner’s victory marked his 7th straight win over Zverev, and he’s now one win away from becoming the first man since Roger Federer in 2017 to complete the “Sunshine Double” by winning Indian Wells and Miami in the same year .
