Wants to break Chris Gayle’s record Vaibhav aims for a T20 double century
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has not yet been able to score a double century in one-day cricket. However, he had expressed that goal a long time ago. This time, the 15-year-old cricketer has shared a new target. He wants to break Chris Gayle’s record by scoring a double century in T20 cricket.
Vaibhav has maintained spectacular form in this edition of the IPL. He has scored 543 runs so far. In an interview given to Kevin Pietersen, Vaibhav mentioned that he is not satisfied with just playing half-century innings.
He noted that the record for the highest individual score in T20 cricket is held by Gayle. In the 2013 IPL, the former RCB star played an innings of 175 runs against Pune Warriors. Vaibhav says— “I want to score a double century in T20 cricket. If I can bat for the full 20 overs in a match, I will be able to break Gayle’s record of 175 runs.”
