Newlyweds Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda Perform Traditional Puja in Vijay’s Hometown, Thummanpet
Following their high-profile wedding in Udaipur on February 26, 2026, actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda visited Vijay’s hometown of Thummanpet in Nagarkurnool district, Telangana, on March 2. The couple performed a traditional Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham and Gruhapravesam (housewarming) at their newly constructed farmhouse. The visit was marked by a grand welcome from the local community, featuring folk dances, traditional music, and flower decorations. Rashmika, dressed in a traditional silk saree, and Vijay, in a pastel green kurta, were greeted by hundreds of fans and villagers who gathered to catch a glimpse of the stars.
The couple, often referred to as “ViRosh,” took the opportunity to express their gratitude to their supporters by hosting a community feast (annadanam) for over 2,000 people and distributing sweets. This spiritual milestone follows their visit to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam temple in Hyderabad. As they settle into their new life, the focus now shifts to their upcoming star-studded wedding reception in Hyderabad on March 4, which is expected to be attended by major figures from the film and political sectors. On the professional front, the duo will next be seen together in the film Ranabaali, scheduled for release on September 11, 2026.
