In a delight for fans of the Welcome franchise, iconic duo Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor have reunited on screen for the first time in over a decade. Nana Patekar makes a surprise cameo in Anil Kapoor’s latest film, Subedaar, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on March 5, 2026. This mark’s the pair’s first collaboration since 2015’s Welcome Back, effectively bringing back the beloved “Uday Bhai” and “Majnu Bhai” chemistry that achieved cult status in Indian cinema.
The appearance occurs during a crucial scene in the film, adding a layer of humor and nostalgic “madness” to the gritty action-drama. Directed by Suresh Trivedi, Subedaar features Anil Kapoor as a retired army man navigating a corrupt society, but the brief reunion with Patekar has stolen the spotlight.
