Medvedev Smashes Racket 7 Times in Humiliating 0-6, 0-6 Loss to Berrettini

After losing the first set in a very embarrassing 0–6 margin, Daniil Medvedev lost his patience in the middle of the second set. Not once or twice, but the Russian star threw his racket five times. In the midst of this, he struck the court so hard once that the racket itself broke. He then threw the broken racket into a dustbin located near the court.
In the second-round match of the Monte Carlo Masters, Medvedev, the world number 10 ranked player, was defeated by Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in just 49 minutes with a score of 0–6, 0–6. Across the two sets, he failed to collect even a single point [game].
