Mantasha Jahangir’s English Book “A World below the Roundabout” Released
The English book A World below the Roundabout by talented young poet-writer Mantasha Jahangir was released at a function organised at Kumar Green Resort, Boragaon, Guwahati.
Speaking at the event, eminent litterateur and educationist Dr. Dayananda Pathak said that everyone today has their own world. No one has time for anyone else. Every person is now lonely. At such a time, a young woman like Mantasha is examining life through new experiments. Her initiative is highly commendable.
Also present at the function, noted writer Manikuntala Bhattacharya said that when a writer’s book is born, the writer is born once again. Information technology has engulfed the new generation. Yet, she observed, a section of them has turned away from technology and focused on creative work.
Popular artist Bhrigu Kashyap, Alok Baruah and several other distinguished personalities were present at the event.
During the programme, Mantasha Jahangir shared her experiences and feelings about the book. Mantasha Jahangir’s mother, noted writer and filmmaker Runa Laila, along with several other eminent persons associated with the literary field, were also present on the occasion.
