CISF to Strengthen Security Framework at Hollongi Airport
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is set to take charge of security at Donyi Polo Airport in Hollongi, Arunachal Pradesh, in a major move to strengthen aviation security in the state. The formal takeover will help standardise security protocols and reinforce the airport’s overall security framework. Once deployed, the CISF will provide comprehensive security coverage, including terminal protection, access control and anti-sabotage measures, bringing the state’s first greenfield airport in line with other major airports across India under CISF security. Inaugurated in 2022, Donyi Polo Airport has witnessed steady growth in passenger traffic and improved connectivity, increasing the need for robust and standardised security arrangements. The move is expected to enhance passenger safety and strengthen security at the airport as air connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh continues to expand.
