FIFA President Gianni Infantino Has Confirmed Iran Will Participate In The FIFA World Cup In North America

Amidst rising questions regarding Iran’s participation in the upcoming FIFA World Cup to be held in North America, FIFA President Gianni Infantino clarified in an interview today that Iran will participate in the tournament.
Despite the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, the news of Iran’s participation has encouraged FIFA. Infantino stated that Iran is a very strong team, and having such a team compete in the World Cup is good news for football.
Furthermore, he mentioned two days ago that FIFA currently has no “Plan B” or alternative arrangements. The Iranian team will participate in the group-stage matches in America according to the pre-determined schedule. He shared that Iranian team will play in the World Cup; we want them to play. Therefore, there is no alternative plan at this stage.”
He concluded by noting that we live in a real world and, regardless of how complex the situation becomes, Iran will be able to play football in a beautiful environment.
