IMHA Unites 300+ Groups Across India, Paving Way for Collaborative Mental Health Revolution
The India Mental Health Alliance (IMHA) has reached a significant milestone for India’s developing mental health ecosystem by surpassing a membership of 300 organizations across 30 States and Union Territories.
This achievement reflects a broad shift toward greater collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action among stakeholders who have long worked in various silos. IMHA was established with the belief that meaningful progress in mental health services requires bringing together clinical expertise and lived experience, supported by resources from collective philanthropy, the government, and the private sector.
IMHA prioritizes creating a space for these organizations to unite, exchange ideas, and build partnerships as a core pillar of ecosystem development. Through the “Connecting India for Mental Health” series, IMHA organized its first regional meet-up in Mumbai.
Upcoming sessions are planned as follows: Guwahati May 2026, Chennai August 2026, Bengaluru December 2026
