Jamie Overton Out, Dean Foxcroft Joins CSK as Replacement

As this edition of the IPL progresses, the pressure is mounting on Chennai Super Kings. All-rounder Jamie Overton has been ruled out of this year’s tournament. Struggling with injury issues, the cricketer has already returned to England. He had played a crucial role for Chennai in several matches this season. Taking 14 wickets in ten matches, Overton had also scored 136 runs. He last played in a Chennai jersey on May 11 against Lucknow, where he won the Player of the Match award.
Dean Foxcroft has been brought into the squad as Overton’s replacement. The South African all-rounder has joined the Chennai team for 75 lakh rupees. Foxcroft made his international debut against New Zealand in March of this year. Playing five matches for his country so far, he has scored a total of 83 runs.
