Fatima Sana Smashes World Record for Fastest Half-Century in Women’s T20 Cricket
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana has set a world record in women’s T20 cricket. She created the record by scoring the fastest half-century against Zimbabwe. Fatima completed her 50 runs in the final over of Pakistan’s innings.
She became the world record holder by completing her half-century in just 15 balls during the match against Zimbabwe. Never before had any female cricketer scored a half-century in so few balls in T20 cricket. Previously, this record was jointly held by three batters. Sophie Devine, Phoebe Litchfield, and Richa Ghosh had each scored a half-century off 18 balls.
