Members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit held a large-scale protest near the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) headquarters in New Delhi, demanding the immediate resignation of Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains following allegations of widespread paper leaks in recent state recruitment examinations. Led by Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, hundreds of party workers marched carrying placards and shouting slogans, accusing the AAP-led Punjab government of playing with the futures of youth and failing to maintain the integrity of competitive exams. Security was stepped up around the area, with Delhi Police setting up multi-layered barricades and deploying water cannons to prevent protesters from storming the AAP office premises. Addressing the gathering, BJP leaders claimed that recurring examination leaks in Punjab exposed systemic corruption and administrative negligence under the current ruling party, rendering its governance claims hollow. The opposition party further urged central investigative agencies to intervene and probe the alleged involvement of high-ranking officials in organized examination syndicates. AAP leaders rejected the allegations as politically motivated distractions engineered by the BJP to divert attention from key national issues, maintaining that the Punjab government is taking strict legal action against anyone involved in cheating or malpractice.
